NYC RESTORATIONS
NEW YORK, NY
Andrade Architecture has completed over 50 renovations of townhouses in landmarked districts of Manhattan and Brooklyn, ranging from exterior façade restorations to gut interior renovations. A number of these renovations consisted of conversions of single-room-occupancies (SROs) into either a single-family townhouse or townhouse with up to four dwelling units; besides design services and renovation work, the firm can guide clients through the complicated permitting process needed for certificate of occupancy and SRO conversions. Projects of note include a $6 million restored 30,000-square-foot carriage house converted into a single family dwelling. The firm has extensive experience working with the city’s Landmark Preservation Commission and has relationships with skilled artisans specializing in the repair and replication of brownstone, limestone, terra cotta, marble, brick, and cast iron. Photos of interior restorations are available upon request.
